Remembering Matt

November 21, 1972 – March 1, 2018

Matthew Green Trone, 45, passed away suddenly March 1, 2018. He was born in Baltimore, and spent most of his childhood years in Clarkesville, MD. He attended Atholton High School, and enjoyed being a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity at the University of Maryland, before returning to Baltimore, where he resided with his loving wife, Sara Trone.

Matt was a great connector, bringing people together, and he was everyone’s friend – many people’s “best” friend. He was widely loved and respected, both at work and in the community. His sense of humor was responsible for so many smiles and laughter. Matt reigned supreme in the generosity department – no one could be said to be more caring, giving and generous to those he cared about, and he always had time for a friend.

Matt’s passions included counting birdies while improving on his golf game, traveling the world to cannonball into as many bodies of water as possible, and combining the two with great friends. You could always count on Matt to have the next trip in the works, and he was happy to have whoever along for the ride. He appreciated the finer things in life, like any drink with an umbrella in it, girly pop music, and a good game of Golden Tee. Matt worked hard to play hard and his colleagues at KBR Corporation were part of his family.

When we are reunited with Matt, we will recognize that brilliant smile and infectious laugh right away.
